Have you ever taught art before?
Yes! I have a degree in art education from Miami University and am a certified art teacher in the state of Illinois. I have a decade of teaching experience in K-12 schools around the world. I spent 5 years teaching elementary, middle, and high school art in the Department of Defense Education Activity system in Ankara, Turkey and also taught art, photography, and design in high schools in London.
What is “process-based” art?
Process-based art focuses on…you guessed it, the process! Think of it as prioritizing the journey and not the destination. My playgroups will encourage curiosity, build confidence, and develop creativity in your little artist.
My child won’t sit still for a project!
That’s okay! While I set up the activities and invite children to participate in various ways, everything during our time is child-led so they are free to explore and engage how they want with the materials.
